Thomas W. Scott, CPA
Active Shareholder
Tom Scott, native Athenian, is an active shareholder of Trinity Accounting Group and began his career working with local firms in Gainesville and Atlanta. Since that time, he has resided and practiced in Athens and has been with the firm since its inception. His experience is almost exclusively in closely held businesses. In addition to all areas of income tax compliance and consulting, Tom specializes in real estate taxation and finance issues, divorce consulting, multi-state taxation, entertainment and forensic accounting.
Within the firm Tom is responsible for consulting services, staff recruitment, and staff development.
Tom graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1986. He became a CPA in 1989 and is a member of both the Georgia Society of CPA's and the AICPA.
Tom is the chairman of the Board of Directors for The National Bank of Georgia where he also chairs the Audit and Compensation committee. Tom is active in the community and has served on the board of Emmanuel Day School, the Athens Clarke Heritage Foundation, and Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School.
