William Toby Smith, CPA Obtains CVA Designation

April 27, 2009 - Athens, Georgia: Trinity Accounting Group is pleased to announce that William Toby Smith, CPA recently obtained the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation. The CVA designation is provided by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).

To become accredited by NACVA, Toby successfully completed an intensive training and testing process. The CVA designation is an indication to the professional community that Toby has met the association's rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity, and integrity in the field of business valuation, litigation support and related consulting disciplines.

Business valuations are most commonly required in conjunction with the purchase or sale of a business, succession planning, buy/sell agreements, charitable contributions, estate and gift taxes, and initial public offerings. In the litigation arena, valuations are often necessary in situations of business disruption, dissenting shareholder actions, divorce, and partner disputes.

Toby joined Trinity Accounting Group in 2005 and currently serves as an active shareholder and as the Director of Financial Reporting and Assurance Services. He has extensive experience with audits, reviews, due diligence, internal audit, and other agreed upon procedures. In addition to all areas of attestation, compliance, and consulting, Toby also specializes in automotive accounting, mergers and acquisitions assistance, litigation support, and internal controls consulting.

Toby earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1998 and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's, the AICPA, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
